Poland to exhibit Iranian posters - Gayo Lues

The 2012 edition of the Warsaw International Poster Biennial is scheduled to display posters by a number of Iranian artists in Poland.

Works by Reza Babajani, Maryam Enayati, Leila Miri, Ladan Rezaei, and Hamed Mehravaran will be showcased at the A, B and C Category sections of the event.

Posters by other Iranian artists including Amir Rezaei, Mehdi Saeedi, Iraj Mirza Alikhani, Mohammad Jamshidi and Mehdi Fatehi will also be displayed at the biennial.

The event will also present works from the Netherlands, Japan, France, Poland, Russia and Bulgaria.

The Warsaw International Poster Biennale was inaugurated in 1966. The idea of a periodic international review in the field of poster art was first proposed by Polish graphic designers in the beginning of 1960s.

The 23rd Warsaw International Poster Biennial will kick off on June 2, 2012 and will run until September 16.
