Iran’s Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi has underscored the significance of unity among all Lebanese parties and tribes against Israeli plots.

The Islamic Republic of Iran calls for stability, national unity and peace in Lebanon, and underlines the need for united and unwavering resistance against Israeli plots, Roknabadi said in a meeting with senior members of the Popular Nasseri Organization on Thursday.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest regional developments in addition to relations between Tehran and Beirut.

For his part, the vice president of the Popular Nasseri Organization, Khalil al-Khalili, lauded Iran’s stance on regional developments, in particular, its support of Syria and Lebanon.

Iran’s support is a key factor in reinforcing the regional nations’ resistance against foreign interference and Israeli plots, he said.
