At least two people have been killed and 20 others wounded in a shooting incident at a block party in Toronto, the police say.

According to the police, “a male and a female” were shot dead during the violence that occurred after a fight broke out between those attending the party with more than 200 guests in the city’s east end in late Monday.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair identified the victims as a 20-year-old man and a young teenage girl and said that the shooting was “the worst incident of gun violence” in the history of Canada’s largest metropolis.
